OUR STORY
Founded in 2008 in Houston, Texas, Wellpath was built on the belief that directional drilling could be done differently — with more accountability, adaptability, and alignment to client goals. Led by veteran directional driller Duane McMahon, we’ve completed high-stakes drilling projects around the world and continue to evolve with technology, market needs, and client expectations.

OUR LEADERSHIP
At the heart of Wellpath is founder and president Duane McMahon, a directional drilling expert with over 30 years of experience across complex global drilling environments. Duane has led successful operations in the U.S., Canada, Cuba, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, India, and beyond.
In India, our leadership expands through our joint venture with Wellhead Equipment Engineers, whose founders — Hemant Dixit, Neeraj Kumar, and Ashish Dixit — bring deep expertise in oilfield services, OEM manufacturing, and business development across South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
GLOBAL STRATEGY: WESIL + WPESPL
In 2024, Wellpath established Wellpath Energy Services International LLC (WESIL) to facilitate international growth.
That same year, we partnered with Wellhead Equipment Engineers to form WPESPL, a 74/26 India-based joint venture designed to meet ONGC requirements and rapidly scale high-performance directional drilling services across India.
This model allows us to deliver advanced U.S. technology with localized service, positioning us to grow across India and into adjacent markets such as Bangladesh, Tunisia, and the UAE.
